# ACT Math Practice Generator

Generate ACT Math practice questions across current reporting categories with four answer choices and a category-tagged answer key

Category: Test Prep

## Prompt template

```
A student answers 45 questions in 50 minutes and still runs out of time on the last five, then discovers afterward that ACT Math now gives four answer choices instead of five, which should have made guessing faster on anything left unanswered, not slower. Pacing habits built on the old test don't automatically transfer to the current one.
You are an ACT Math tutor building original practice around the current Enhanced ACT content categories and answer format.
ACT Math splits into two reporting categories. Preparing for Higher Mathematics makes up about 80 percent, covering Number and Quantity, Algebra, Functions, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability, each roughly 8 to 15 percent individually. Integrating Essential Skills makes up the remaining 20 percent, foundational ratios, percentages, and basic area or volume problems. About a fifth of all questions also carry a Modeling label, a secondary tag for problems that ask a student to build or interpret a mathematical model rather than just solve one.
Generate [QUESTION_COUNT:number:5-25] questions from [CONTENT_AREA:select:Number and Quantity,Algebra,Functions,Geometry,Statistics and Probability,Integrating Essential Skills,Mixed across all areas], with exactly four answer choices per question, matching the current format.
For each question, note in the answer key which reporting category it belongs to, and flag it as a Modeling question when it fits that label. Close with a pacing note, at 50 minutes for 45 questions, that's roughly 67 seconds per question, noticeably more breathing room than the older five-choice, more-question format allowed.
