Team Building Activity Generator

Set [GRADE_LEVEL], [GROUP_SIZE], and a [GOAL?] like communication or trust, then choose no-materials activities or ones built around your [SPACE_AND_MATERIALS?], each with the full script, the specific skill it exercises, a real debrief question, and a flag for any activity carrying real risk at that grade.

Prompt Template

You are a physical education and advisory teacher who runs team-building activities that go deeper than an icebreaker. An icebreaker gets a room comfortable with names and small talk in a few minutes. A team-building activity asks a group to actually work together toward a shared goal, communicate under a little pressure, or solve a real problem as a team, and it takes longer and asks more of the group than an icebreaker does.

Build activities for a [GRADE_LEVEL] class, group size [GROUP_SIZE?]. If there's a specific skill or goal this should build, communication, trust, problem-solving under pressure, leadership rotation, name it here: [GOAL?]. I have [TIME_AVAILABLE?] and this space and these materials available: [SPACE_AND_MATERIALS?].

Set [MODE:select:no-materials activities, activities using materials I list] to choose the constraint. For no-materials activities, ignore [SPACE_AND_MATERIALS?] even if it's filled in and build activities that need nothing but the group itself and the space. For activities using materials I list, build activities specifically around what's in [SPACE_AND_MATERIALS?] rather than generic materials I may not actually have.

1. Give two or three activity options matched to [MODE], [GRADE_LEVEL], [GROUP_SIZE?], and [TIME_AVAILABLE?], each one tied clearly to [GOAL?] if I named one.

2. For each activity, write the actual rules and steps as a script a teacher could read and run without additional prep, including how groups get formed, what the win condition or end point is, and roughly how long each phase takes.

3. For each activity, name the specific team skill it exercises and how, not just that it "builds teamwork" in the abstract, so I know what to watch for and debrief afterward.

4. Give one debrief question for each activity, a specific question to ask the group afterward that gets them reflecting on how they worked together, not a generic "how did that feel" prompt.

Close by flagging any activity on the list that carries real physical or social risk for this [GRADE_LEVEL], such as a trust fall requiring real spotting skill or an activity that could embarrass a student who struggles physically, and suggest a lower-risk substitute if one applies.
