Account and Billing
Plans and billing for the Dock Editor. The Free and Unlimited plans, payment methods, invoices, switching plans, and cancellation.
Dock has a free plan that covers everyday writing and an Unlimited plan for people who write all day. This guide covers the plans, how billing works, and how to change or cancel.
| Free | Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $39 per month, or $144 per year |
| Editor | Full writing surface | Full writing surface |
| Citations | Included | Included |
| AI assistance | Daily limit | Full access |
The Free plan gives you the editor, real citations, and a daily amount of AI assistance, enough to write and cite a document. Unlimited removes the daily caps on AI assistance for people who lean on it heavily.

Add or update your payment method from your account billing settings. Billing is handled securely through Stripe; Dock does not store your card details directly.
Your invoices are available in your billing settings, so you can download a receipt for each payment when you need one for records or reimbursement.
Move between Free and Unlimited from your billing settings. Upgrading takes effect so you can use the additional access right away. The change is made on your account, not on any single document.
Cancel from your billing settings at any time. When you cancel Unlimited, you keep access through the end of the period you have paid for, then return to the Free plan. Your documents stay in your workspace regardless of plan.
Account and billing are managed in your account settings, outside the editor itself. Your writing, citations, and documents are unaffected by a plan change.
