The citation library ends the loop. Save a source once and it is yours across every document, formatted correctly in whichever style the document uses, one click from the page you are writing.
Any source you find through citation search can be saved to your library. A saved source carries its full structured record, which is what makes it reusable: it formats correctly in every style and inserts into any document without another search.
Group sources into collections to keep a large library navigable, one collection per paper, per topic, per semester, however you work. A source belongs to a collection without being locked to it, so the reference that anchors your thesis can also serve the conference talk.
Save a source that is already in your library and Dock recognizes it instead of creating a twin. A paper you cite in three documents is one record, not three, so the library stays clean while your use of it grows.
Some sources never lived in a database; they live on your disk. Upload the PDF and Dock extracts its reference details, title, authors, year, into a structured record that joins your library like any other source, ready to insert and format.
The library panel opens beside the document, with search at the top and your collections below, so pulling a source into a claim never means leaving the page. To insert a citation, see Citations.
