Commission rates, the first-conversion bonus, the recurring earnings window, and exactly how every commission is calculated.
A commission is created every time a referral you brought in makes a payment. This page covers the rates, the bonus on a recipient’s first payment, and how long you keep earning on renewals.
Your commission is a percentage of what the recipient pays. Recipients pay the gift price, $29/mo or $108/yr, so a commission is a percentage of that amount.
Your rate depends on where you are in your promotional period and which tier you have reached.

The promotional rates apply during your first six months in the program. After six months, every tier settles to a standard 20 percent rate, which is $5.80 on a $29/mo payment.

The first time a recipient converts to a paying plan, you earn 100 percent of that first payment, capped at $29. This bonus rewards the hardest part of referring, which is turning a click into a paying subscriber.
After the first payment, the recipient’s renewals earn your normal tier rate.
A referral is not a one-time payout. As long as the recipient keeps their subscription active, you keep earning a commission on each renewal for up to two years from the original conversion. That means a single good referral can pay you across many billing cycles, not just once.
When the recurring window ends, commissions on that referral stop, but everything you already earned is yours.
Suppose you are in Silver tier (35 percent) and still inside your six-month promotional period. A friend you referred subscribes at $29/mo.
- First payment: You earn the first-conversion bonus, 100 percent capped at $29, so $29.
- Second payment onward: You earn 35 percent of $29, which is $10.15 each month.
- After your promotional period ends: Renewals earn the standard 20 percent, which is $5.80 each month, for the remainder of the two-year window.
Refer several people and these stack. The math scales with how many active subscribers you have brought in.
Every commission goes through the same stages:
- Created. A recipient payment succeeds and a commission is generated at your current rate.
- Pending. The commission is held for 30 days to cover any refund or chargeback.
- Available. The hold clears and the amount counts toward your withdrawable balance.
- Withdrawn. You request a payout and the amount is sent to your bank.
If a recipient is refunded during the hold, the matching commission is reversed before it ever becomes available.
