The prompt library is a collection of ready-to-use writing prompts, built into the editor. Browse it, find a prompt that fits, and drop it into a document to start from a strong structure instead of a blank page. The same library is shared across the editor, the extension, and the web.
Open the prompt library from the editor to browse thousands of prompts, organized into folders by use. Search by keyword to find a prompt for a specific job, a research paper, a blog post, a business report, a cold email, and narrow down quickly rather than scrolling.
When you find a prompt you want, import it into your document. The prompt’s structure drops into the page, ready for you to work from. This is the fast way to start a piece that follows a known shape.
Many prompts include variables, the parts you fill in to make the prompt yours, such as a topic, an audience, or a tone. When you import a prompt, you supply the variables and Dock substitutes them in, so the prompt arrives already tailored to what you are writing rather than as a generic template.
You are not limited to the curated library. Select a passage you have written and save it as a prompt of your own, so a structure that worked once is reusable next time. Your saved prompts live alongside the curated ones and are available everywhere the library is.
