How to Install the Dock Extension
Add Dock to your browser from the Chrome Web Store, pin it to your toolbar, and sign in with your AgentDock account in a few minutes.
Installing Dock takes about a minute. You add it from the Chrome Web Store, pin it so it is always within reach, and sign in once to connect it to your AgentDock account. After that, Dock appears on every supported site automatically.
- Open the Dock listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome, then confirm in the dialog that appears.
- Chrome downloads and installs the extension. You will see the Dock icon appear near your address bar.
Dock requests permission to run on the pages you visit so it can place the writing button next to your text boxes. Every permission it asks for is explained on the privacy and permissions page.
Chrome hides new extensions behind the puzzle-piece icon by default. Pin Dock so the icon stays visible and the side panel is one click away.
- Click the puzzle piece icon to the right of your address bar.
- Find Dock in the list.
- Click the pin icon next to it.
The Dock icon now sits in your toolbar. Clicking it opens the side panel on the current page.
Dock connects to your AgentDock account so your prompts, documents, and preferences travel with you.
- Click the Dock icon in your toolbar, or open the modal editor on any page.
- Choose Sign in.
- Complete sign-in in the tab that opens. If you are already signed in to AgentDock in your browser, Dock picks up your session and you are done.
If you do not have an account yet, you can create one for free during sign-in. The free plan includes a daily allowance of AI actions. The Unlimited plan removes the daily limit.
The first time you open Dock on a site, a short walkthrough points out the three ways to use it: the float button next to your text boxes, the side panel from the toolbar icon, and the keyboard shortcut. You can dismiss it at any time and revisit the basics in Getting Started.
Dock is a Chromium extension, so it runs on every Chromium-based browser:

Dock requires Chrome version 116 or newer (or the equivalent Chromium version in your browser). Most browsers update themselves, so you are almost certainly already current.
