Images and Media
Add images and media to a document in the Dock Editor. Upload and resize images, embed by URL, drop in a YouTube video, and drag and drop files.
A document is more than text. Dock lets you place images and embed video inline, so a report can carry a chart, a screenshot, or a figure right where it belongs.
There are a few ways to get an image into a document:
- Upload a file from your computer with the Image slash command.
- Embed by URL with the Embed Image slash command, which places an image hosted elsewhere.
- Drag and drop an image file straight onto the page, and Dock uploads and inserts it where you dropped it.
Uploaded images are stored with your document and travel with it.
Click an image to select it, then drag its handles to resize. The image holds the size you set, so a figure stays the width you want it relative to the text.
Use the YouTube Video slash command to embed a video by its link. The video renders inline as a player, which is useful for a tutorial, a reference talk, or a demo inside a longer write-up.
Dropping a file onto the page is the fastest path for images you already have open. Drag the file from your desktop or a folder onto the spot in the document where you want it, and Dock handles the upload and placement.
