Zotero and Mendeley
Import references from Zotero and Mendeley into the Dock Editor, and use BibTeX import and export to move a library between tools.
If you already keep a reference library in Zotero or Mendeley, you do not have to rebuild it in Dock. Connect your account, import your sources, and cite them like any other source in your library. BibTeX import and export cover everything else.
Connect your Zotero account to bring your library into Dock. Once connected, your Zotero references are available to insert as citations, formatted to whichever of the seven styles your document uses. Zotero connections stay linked, so you can pull from your library without reconnecting each session.
Mendeley connects the same way. Link your account and your Mendeley references become available in Dock, ready to insert and format. As with Zotero, the connection persists so your library stays one click away.
For references that live outside a connected account, BibTeX is the bridge:
- Import a BibTeX file to add its references to your Dock library in one step.
- Export to BibTeX to take your sources into another tool, a collaborator’s setup, or a submission system that expects BibTeX.
BibTeX keeps the structured record intact, so a source imported this way formats and reformats like any other.
