Privacy and Permissions
What each Chrome permission Dock requests is for, what data is collected, what is never collected, and where your work is stored.
Dock asks for the permissions it needs to put a writing assistant next to your text boxes, and nothing more. This page explains each one, what we collect, and what we never touch.
When you install Dock, Chrome lists the permissions it requests. Here is what each one does and why Dock needs it.

| Tabs | Detects which platform the active tab is on, so Dock can tune itself to the site. |
| Cookies | Keeps Dock in sync with your AgentDock sign-in state, so you stay logged in. |
| Storage | Saves your drafts and per-site preferences locally in your browser. |
| Context menus | Adds the right-click "Enhance with Dock" action on selected text. |
| Identity | Lets you sign in to your AgentDock account. |
| Notifications | Reserved for future use; not active today. |
Dock collects a small amount of anonymous usage data so we can understand which features people use and keep the extension working. This includes events such as the extension being installed and which actions are run. It does not include the text you write.
When you run an AI action like Enhance or Fix Grammar, the text you selected is sent to be processed so the result can come back to you. That only happens when you explicitly run an action. Dock does not stream your typing anywhere in the background.
Dock does not collect:
- Your browsing history
- Your passwords
- Your form data
- Page content, unless you explicitly run an AI action on text you chose
- Your keystrokes
The extension reads the active page only when you ask it to, for example when you summarize a page in the side panel or enhance selected text.

Because your prompts and documents are tied to your account rather than the browser, they follow you wherever you sign in, and uninstalling the extension does not delete them.
