How It Works
Follow a single referral end to end, from the moment you share your link to the day the commission lands in your bank account.
A referral moves through five stages. Each stage is automatic. You share a link, and AgentDock tracks the rest, from the click to the commission to the payout.
Every account has one permanent referral code, formatted like ABCD-2345-EFGH. Your shareable link wraps that code:

When someone opens your link, two things happen:
- A referral cookie is set in their browser and stored for 30 days. This is what credits the conversion back to you later, even if they do not sign up on the first visit.
- They land on a page that shows who invited them and the discounted offer waiting for them.
The cookie survives the sign-in redirect, so the credit holds even when they sign up through Google or another provider.
When the friend creates an account, the referral relationship is recorded and they begin a 30-day free trial. During the trial they have full access. No commission exists yet, because no payment has happened.
When the trial ends and the first payment succeeds, AgentDock receives the payment confirmation and creates your commission. This is the moment you start earning. The commission is calculated from their payment and your current rate, then placed on a 30-day hold.
Your tier is recalculated at the same time, so a conversion can move you up to a higher commission rate for future referrals.
After the 30-day hold clears, the commission moves from pending to available. Once your available balance reaches the $50 minimum, you can request a payout. Stripe Connect sends it straight to your bank.

The 30-day hold protects against refunds and chargebacks. If a recipient cancels or disputes their first charge within that window, the commission is reversed cleanly before any money leaves the system. Once the hold clears, the commission is yours.
A referral is not a one-time event. As long as the recipient keeps their subscription active, you keep earning a commission on their renewals for up to two years. See Commissions for how recurring earnings are calculated.
